Lanthier Bakery, a subsidiary of the La Fournée Dorée group and producer of our famous brioche breads, is looking for Team Leader to join our team at our Alexandria, ON plant. If you’d like to join a fast-growing family business and expand your skills in industrial baking, this is your chance.

The Supervisor is the direct link to the production assistant for the production and sanitation process. They manage the employees in all departments. They manage the human and technical resources necessary for the successful completion of the manufacturing process, while respecting the costs and deadlines set. They are aware of the actions in progress and to be carried out in their departments, in all areas.

  • weekend shift – night: 6pm to 6am + 1 day of 8h:00 hours on weekdays (32 hours of work – paid 40 hours)

Organisation of production

  • Validates the schedules prepared by the planning department.
  • Ensures that the technical resources are operational (pre-operational inspection).
  • Reorganizes teams in the event of employee absence.
  • Communicates on the progress of production to the departments concerned (Service report).
  • Ensures measures are taken in case of equipment malfunction and define corrective actions with maintenance and/or writes Dimomaint if necessary.
  • Organizes cleaning of equipment and building maintenance with employees and agencies in place.

Management

  • Supervises, leads, and motivates employees: instructions, debriefings, training, etc.
  • Identifies recruitment needs and advises the Production Assistant.
  • Checks the progress of employee training and completes the validation of newly trained employees.

Continuous Improvement

  • Ensures the correct transmission of information to their superiors or colleagues.
  • Suggests improvements to the workstation or the organization of the equipment.
  • Keep records of recurrent issues to better analyze and contribute to the development of corrective actions.

Skills and qualifications

  • Experience working in an industrial environment. Experience in team management.
  • Experience in personnel management.
  • Experience in the agri-food sector is considered an asset.
  • Good knowledge of computer tools.
  • Good knowledge of English and French. Spanish considered an asset.
