Bakery Lanthier, a subsidiary of the La Fournée Dorée group and producer of our famous brioche breads, is looking for a Billing Clerk to join our team at our Alexandria plant. If you’d like to join a fast-growing family business and expand your skills in industrial baking, this is your chance. This is a full-time, 18-month temporary position, for the day shift.

Position summary

The position is based in Alexandria, Ontario, and reports to the General Manager. You will be responsible for daily order entry, invoicing and collections. You will also be called upon to become the super user of the Sage invoicing module.

Responsibilities

• Enter customer orders on a daily basis.
• Prepare invoices, verify accuracy and forward to customers.
• Prepare and issue monthly statements of account and close out accounts receivable for the month.
• Prepare and enter deposits.
• Analyze the age of accounts and track customer payments.
• Solve problems related to billing.
• Ensure the accuracy of discounts granted to customers.
• File invoices.
• Perform audits and analysis to ensure accuracy of data and transactions.

Qualifications and skills

• Two years’ experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of Sage software (an asset).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Organizational skills and priority management, ability to work under pressure.
• Rigor and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in French and English.
